Hudson and Ruby - Subaru Puppers

At Goldstein Subaru in Albany, it’s not uncommon to see furry friends in the store. Not just when the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society comes to visit, but throughout the week… because Subaru owners love DOGS!

Official Subaru Doggos & Puppers

We like to call these special Subaru riders “Official Subaru Doggos & Puppers.” These dogs come in all sizes, and all ages… and from all over the Northeast. While most do come from the Capital District, we do have the occasional visitor from out of state – like Zeema from Baltimore. Tucker came from the Hawkeye State. Rambo commutes north and back from Manhattan, along with his buddy Halo. Odd thing about Halo – she’s a cat! So, yes, we’re not dog exclusive at Goldstein Subaru.

Who Let The Dogs Out…Back?

That’s right, the special family of dogs and some of their furry friends are back on TV. It’s time for a new series of TV commercials for Subaru featuring everyone’s favorite dogs – The Barkleys!

The commercials are a combination of funny and kind-of sad as the family sends Junior off to school for the first time, or takes the mud-covered Subaru to the doggy car wash.

Dogs Don’t Like Practical Jokes?

In one of the commercials, it seems that Father Barkley is getting picked up from his latest bowling game. Seems like the perfect time to play a joke! But Mr. Barkley isn’t in the mood for the classic joke in this TV commercial. Guess he didn’t have a good game?

At The Car Wash… Yeah!

Probably one of the funniest this time around is the Subaru commercial at the car wash. It’s a lot of team work between all these dogs, but it just doesn’t make the Subaru as nice looking as it could.

Just a Scratch.

And The Barkleys are also teaching one of the youngsters how to drive their Subaru. But it seems no matter how old you might be, in dog years, it’s pretty easy to be a distracted driver. Good thing they have a Subaru to keep them safe from distractions on the road.

We’ve loved The Barkleys and had fun with them since they first appeared. And we look forward to their next appearance on our TV screens in their Subaru.

You Spin Me Round…

Technology advances at such a fast pace these days. The tech in your new Subaru is far more advanced than a Subaru manufactured just a few years ago. No doubt the tech in your Subaru could take a crew to the moon and back.

The same with your phone. They get smarter and smarter. The cameras get more advanced. And who ever thought you’d be able to talk face-to-face with a friend a block or thousands of miles away.

We love technology! One of the latest advances in tech is the ability to make 360 degree photos. So, we broke out a tripod, connected a tech-filled camera and took a panoramic tour of Goldstein Subaru!

Our Showroom Panoramic

It was autumn when we took these photos, if you couldn’t tell from the fall-ish balloons in the showroom. Your invited to stop by Goldstein Subaru at 1754 Central Avenue in Colonie NY anytime. Spin the photo around and you’ll see the popcorn machine. We always have free popcorn and coffee available.

Drive Up Service

Our customers appreciate driving right into the building, avoiding the cold, the rain, the snow, when visiting Goldstein Subaru for service. Our friendly staff is ready to help you with scheduled maintenance and repairs. We have tires as well! Had a fender bender? You can talk to our service team about that as well, and the body shop will have your Subaru looking great.

When you bring your Subaru (or any make) in for service, whether an oil change or something more involved, your car takes a detour through the car wash on it’s way back to you. Nothing beats a sparkly, purring Subaru. We’ll help you treat your Subaru right for the many years it has ahead of it.

On The Lot – New and Used

With this 360 degree photo, you’re in the front lot of Goldstein Subaru. As you can see, we have a great selection of pre-owned vehicles. You’ll find all makes and models of cars, trucks and SUVs, along with Subaru trade-ins. We have Certified Subarus as well.

There’s also a large selection of new Subarus, from the Impreza to the sporty WRX. Everyday it seems that a stack of new Subarus arrive on the truck to replace those that were sold the day before.

That’s Goldstein Subaru in 360 degrees! We look forward to what technology will allow us to share with you in the future. Holograms can’t be far behind!

Amber and her 2017 Subaru Impreza Sport

Amber Hayes is one of our super salespeople at Goldstein Subaru, and she’s picked her favorite vehicle on our lot. It was an easy decision, because she just bought one of these for herself – it’s the 2017 Subaru Impreza Sport 5 door.

The stylish Subaru Impreza Sport caught her eye

Amber has been selling cars for over 4 years, and Subaru is at the top of her list because there’s something there for every lifestyle. The style of the revamped Impreza Sport 5 Door caught her eye and will catch yours too. Her color of choice is Island Blue Pearl.

Room for all the fun you want to have? You betcha!

Inside Amber’s Impreza – Tunes!

Up front, Amber’s enjoying the pull of the 2 liter engine as it takes this all-wheel vehicle through the snow and sleet and rain. Under sunny skies too, the Impreza grips the road. It takes her from home to work and back again, through the traffic the day throws at her. She sits back in red-stitched seats, connects her phone to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and listens to her tunes. She stays hands free as well with the connected apps.

Apps! Apple AirPlay and Android Auto provides the music.

Amber traded in a Subaru Legacy for this Impreza, and kept some of her favorite options with the move. Heated seats, a must. Moonroof, a must. And now she has Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and for the all-important tunes, the Harmon Kardon sound system.

Amber enjoys heated seats and a moonroof in her Subaru Impreza Sport 5 Door.

Heated seats – yes. Moonroof – yes. Fun and safety? YES!

Eye-Catching Safety

As Amber says, the redesigned Impreza Sport meets her needs for fun and agility. It’s eye-catching and provides peace of mind with EyeSight and other safety tech. Safety and reliability is important to her, and that’s also why she enjoys putting customers into a Subaru every day.

The engine of the Subaru Impreza Sport

2.0 liters of power pulls the Subaru Impreza here and there. All-wheel drive makes it an easier drive.

Meanwhile, her Bengal cat, Cairo, waits for her to get home from work. All work and no play makes for a dull Subaru owner, so Amber makes sure to spend time with Cairo and her friends when not at Goldstein Subaru.

Amber would love to say hello! Visit her today at Goldstein Subaru in Albany, NY.

Ask Amber to tell you about the Impreza – you just may end up owning the same vehicle she has – even if you don’t choose Island Blue Pearl. Venetian Red Pearl, perhaps?  Ice Silver Metallic? So many choices at Goldstein Subaru! Let Amber help you choose yours, call her today at 518-869-1250. And click this link to find your Impreza now.

Not everyone can, or should, take their Subaru WRX STI down a bobsled run. It takes an expert, a big safety crew, multiple cameras and something loose in the head to make this happen.

It’s not meant to be, throwing a vehicle down a legitimate bobsled run, the oldest bobsled run in the world. You’re going to get some dings!

Nerves of Steel Behind the Wheel

The driver’s name is Mark Higgins. All we really need to know about Mark is, he’s from the Isle of MAN. He’s got spiked tires, a helmet and nerves of steel.

The Subaru takes some damage along the way… Take a look!

As you can see, the Subaru WRX STI received a few dings and dents along the way, but considering everything it went through, it’s in amazing shape!

Want to see the dings and other details about this run you should never attempt? The folks at CNET Road/Show have an article and photos. CNET Road/Show link.

Don’t Do This!

Do we really need to point out that you shouldn’t try this with your new Subaru? As rugged as they are, as great as they tackle the different weather in the Northeast, as sporty as they look and feel – driving your Subaru down a bobsled run … that’s just not a brilliant thing to do.
